
AI Intern

We are seeking an AI Intern to join our team in Washington, DC, to help our staff work through intelligent automation. This is a unique opportunity to help develop cutting-edge AI agent technologies, working directly with our team to transform their workflows and ideas into automated solutions.
This position will work directly with our AI leadership team. Interns are paid, and schedules will be built based on their availability. Interns will be scheduled for approximately 20-40 hours per week. Interns must be located in Washington, DC, and work in our Dupont Circle office Monday through Thursday (option to be remote on Friday).

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our AI Intern, you'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and organizational efficiency, building AI-powered solutions that streamline workflows and enhance productivity across every division of our company:
Agent Development & Implementation:
- Collaborate with TMG staff to understand daily challenges and translate requirements into functional AI-powered solutions
- Design and build intelligent agents using n8n or Claude Code
Innovation & Strategy:
- Bring fresh ideas and technical expertise to modernize traditional workflows
- Experiment with emerging AI technologies and frameworks relevant to our work
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with various TMG staff to identify automation opportunities
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions
- Participate in strategy discussions where AI can enhance our client deliverables
Other Intern Duties As Assigned:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations and administration of the office
- Tracking and managing the distribution of news clips for the office and clients
- Assisting staff in writing memos and research projects
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Technical Requirements:
- Experience building AI agents (experience with the n8n automation platform and/or Claude Code to build AI agents a plus)
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript, with the ability to develop custom agent solutions
- Hands-on experience with APIs for various LLMs
- Understanding of workflow automation, API integration, and data processing
Candidates must demonstrate the following professional traits and skills:
- Current undergraduate student in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Innovative problem solver with the ability to see workflow challenges and envision AI-powered solutions
- Technical translator who can bridge the gap between complex AI capabilities and practical business needs
